Earlier today, Michelle appeared on CBS' The Talk, where she discussed our campaign to Save Great Teachers. With 45 states predicting budget shortfalls, and at least 160,000 teachers at risk, some of our best teachers are in jeopardy of seniority-based layoffs. Known as "last in, first, out" or LIFO, it means that the last teacher hired is the first one fired, regardless of how good they are. Our Save Great Teachers campaign is working to hold districts and state legislators accountable.
